Boys ECNL Director
Match Fit Academy FC (MFA) has announced former Major League Soccer All-Star and current USSF A-Youth license holder, Nick Labrocca, as the club’s new Boys ECNL Director.
Labrocca, the 2011 All-Star that played with the Colorado Rapids, Toronto FC, Chicago Fire, and Chivas USA, also holds a National B license. Thus far in his coaching career, Labrocca has competed at the highest levels, including the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy, NPSL and MLS Next. In MLS Next, Labrocca led his team to an undefeated season and semifinal playoff appearance.
“I am very excited for the opportunity to return to Match Fit Academy,” Nick Labrocca said. “As a player, joining Match Fit Academy was the springboard to an exciting playing career. As Boys ECNL Director, I am looking forward to working with our players and staff to create a positive and reflective learning environment that teaches our players how to achieve their goals.”
“The ECNL is a very competitive and demanding league,” Match Fit Academy General Manager Jordan Raper said. “When we spoke with Nick, we felt he had the experience, knowledge and competitive skills to lead our program. Working closely with our Boys Director of Coaching, Brian Woods, we feel that our ECNL teams, players and coaching staff will be in very capable hands.”
LaBrocca holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and Sport Studies; Sport Management degree out of Rutgers University, New Brunswick.
Labrocca will begin working with Match Fit Academy Boys Director of Coaching Brian Woods and the MFA Boys ECNL staff on July 1, 2024.
