Bayonne, NJ - Match Fit Academy and Chelsea Football Club have come to terms to dissolve their partnership, mainly the brand name Match Fit Chelsea (MFC). The partnership dissolution was completed with mutual respect, integrity, honesty and kept both organization’s participants best interests in mind.

Placing Match Fit Academy as the forefront of our brand and identity is key moving forward. Our philosophies and mission as a club never altered with our relationship with Chelsea FC. We as an organization feel the focus for all clubs of our stature should be to promote the advancement of the sport for our country.

"As a USSF Development Academy member, our goal is to aid the growth of the sport in this country" said Co-owner & Director of Operations John Calcaterra. "We feel restoring the Match Fit Academy brand and being able to support and put forth the US Soccer and Major League Soccer brands is imperative for our success as a country moving forward".

Match Fit Academy continues to support grass roots development within New Jersey via our affiliate club model. Match Fit Academy will forge ahead with our affiliate club model to continue to aid the development of US Soccer at the youth levels. With current affiliate’s members Berkeley Soccer Association, Holmdel FC, Montclair United FC & Summit Soccer Club, Match Fit Academy’s vision of providing elite standard training to players of all ages and ability levels remains intact.

With the guidance of U.S. Soccer, the USSF Development Academy & the US Club National Premier League, Match Fit Academy will continue to provide a unique and innovative training environment for its players and affiliate members alike.

Match Fit Academy had been selected as an initial member of both the USSF Development Academy & Girls National Premier League due to our track records of developing players for the next level. Match Fit Academy will continue to focus on player development for all members of the new and improved Match Fit Academy family.
