Match Fit Chelsea is proud to announce its new Technical/Speed and Conditioning Program. This unique Technical/Speed and Conditioning Program is run by two of the most sought after trainers in their respective fields. We have designed 1 week, 4 week, 6 week, and 12 week programs. Dominick Bucci, Match Fit Chelsea Girls's DOC, and Craig Stoddard , Velocity Sports Performance Director designed this program three years ago and have constantly been researching and implementing new and progressive sessions.
This technical Speed & Conditioning Program is designed to improve speed, quickness, and explosiveness on the soccer field. This program will help players increase quickness, learn how to explosively, change direction and step up reaction time and speed off the ball. This will result in faster controlled play, quick decision-making, tactical awareness and confidence on and off the ball. The speed training will consist of speed mechanics covering 5 to 10 yards, coordination and agility drills, and on-field strength training.
The soccer specific technical part of the program is designed to help improve players’ technical ability, tactical speed, and most importantly, getting them comfortable with the ball. This program will help develop faster play on the ball, confidence on the ball, quick decision making and improve tactical awareness. Also, it will help teach players how to train on their own.
The program is developed to teach individual play and builds up to small group play. It deals with individual and small group techniques and tactics while encouraging players to play faster, smarter, and under pressure.
